+ Out of Character Rules +

General
+ Respect admins and moderators. While you have every right to question staffs’ rulings, do so politely. Regardless of their writing ability, age, gender, etc. they deserve respect.
+ Mild swearing is permitted, but it should not be, under any circumstance, directed at another roleplayer. Violating posts will be deleted.
+ Do not take anything said IC out of character. I don’t want to see any “Well, you’re character said this about mine, therefore you must hate me” crap. Some cats are just nasty. Don’t take it personally.
+ If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all... unless someone specifically asks for constructive criticism. Then go for it.
+ Have a problem with someone? If it’s something minor, message them about it. If the issue is large, talk to an admin.
+ Debates are good. Just remember that not everyone will have the same views. Respect these views. You don’t have to agree with them.
+ Religion & politics will not be discussed at any time in any way on any board. Period.
+ There will be no lenience regarding broken rules for senior members, advanced roleplayers, staff, friends of staff, etc. The punishment is the same for all.

Joining
+ Fill out the form to the best of your ability, with at least four complete sentences in each blank. Use acceptable spelling and punctuation.
+ Admins and moderators have every right to refuse a joining form. This will happen only with good reason (ex. Sally writes only one sentence per blank and obviously puts no effort into her form.) but once refused, there will be no rejoining.
+ Your joining form must be accepted by an admin or a moderator before you post anywhere IC.

+ In Character Rules +

General
+ No strictly OOC replies in IC topics (ex. Hey, I like your character. He’s cool!). That’s what the Chat board’s for or PMs. If you need to post OOC in character, make sure you have an IC post with it.
+ Your character’s can only be in one place at once time. Have them exit a post before joining another.
+ And for God's sakes, I don't want to see "Sorry this post is short" or "Sorry this post is crap!" because rarely is 'crap post' crap. It makes people feel dumb if they post shorter than the 'crap post' and just, grrr, don't do it.

Fighting
+ No Powerplaying/Godmoding. This involves controlling another person's character in any way or making yours undefeatable.
+ Claiming that your attack succeeded is considered Powerplaying, and is therefore not allowed.
+ Your cat can be killed in battle. Afraid you're taking too many hits? Submit, make your character back down, or whatever. If I see someone who's outnumbered, wounded severely, and not admitting defeat, there will be consequences. Most likely, I'll give the attackers permission to kill your character.
+ Unless it's the situation listed above, you may not kill another person's character without permission from them.
+ No magical powers, amulets, or weapons besides claws, fangs, and a sharp tongue!

Kittening
+ Descriptive mating is not permitted, unless in the case of forcebreeding. If you feel a topic may have unsuitable content in it (anything you wouldn't want your parents or younger siblings to see) put 'MA' in the title.
+ As stated above, forcebreeding is allowed. Roleplaying the process is inevitable. However, please do not be overly descriptive.
+ As in real life, your cats do not have to know each other well to breed. Your character may, however, like the another's company and become their mate.
+ Toms often fight over a queen. Just because a queen has a mate does not mean that her kittens will be by him.
+ If your cat is expecting kits, please message me with the form below. I will post in the Circle of Life board about 3 days later with the stats of the kits.

Why only 1 place at a time? Not meaning to offend, but isn't that kind of constrictive? I understand if you don't want, say, my cat Zydeco RP-ing on every thread, but what if I want to RP in 2 places? Just wondering about that rule. It can be kind of frustrating, that's all.

Take this however you wish, I tend to think of my comment (and ||.Zydeco.||'s) as constructive critisism, so please bear with me.

*clears throat*

Yeah, I noticed this too and I think it's a good idea someone brought it up. I understand the fact that this rule is to help maintain some feel of reality but I've also noticed, not just on this site but several others that I've role-played on, that when this rule is put into effect the site tends to fall innactive. I think that this may have lead to the downfall of the previous site, because Wrath became the most active thread of the entire site and everyone else pretty much either got bored or were waiting for others to come back from wherever they came from (vacations, grounding, etc.). Felidae is an excellent plot mind you, and I absolutely love it. Again, take this however you wish, I say constructive critisism... suggestion, whatever, but if a vote was to ever occur mine would fall under liquid time.

That does make a lot of sense. I've seen it happen on a lot of dog RPGs and Horse RPGs, and I'll admit that I do tend to get rather bored when I have no where to post (yay! I made three characters just for that reason XP) here! here!
