She thought of the welcome she would get: Sia would be excited, jumping around asking who Zydeco had met when she was out; Asphyxia would be yelling at her to lay down or she'd open up her wounds again; Raven-Li would pretend to be angry but would really be glad to see Zydeco...
The Ringleader laughed softly, and suddenly she was aching to return home. I think my walk's over for tonight...
Standing, Zydeco mewed, "I almost miss being a street-cat, but the forest is safe and it's not like the city is gone. Before the Red Sky, I was just like you. We all were."
With a fond glimmer in her eyes, Zydeco turned away, pointing her nose toward the Forest.
